Description:

Our full-bodied Italian Roast is robust and intense delivering spicy characteristics with a long finish typical of coffee from southern Italy. With 20% more coffee than regular K-Cups, Italian Roast is an extra bold coffee that'll offer something a touch more robust and a bit more intense. This coffee is a perfect representation of Tully's roasting philosophy. Slow roasting at a low temperature allows this coffee's complexity to be unwrapped with each sip. A malty sweetness plays with smoky elements that help develop the full bodied cup. Creamy and rich in the mouthful, the finish offers burnt cedar yet is pleasantly dry. 5The best coffee I've ever hadApr 16, 2008
By Harmon H. Johnson "Butch Johnson"
I discovered K Cups in Dec, 2007 and discovered Tully's Italian Roast about a month later. It is the best coffee I've ever had, rich, full-bodied, smooth and satisfying. I drink it every day.

4Very Good Tasting But Could Be "Bolder" - RecommendedSep 04, 2010
By C. F. Hill "CFH"
Tully's Coffee "Italian Roast (Bold)" K-Cups makes a very good cup of coffee in my Keurig B-40 B40 Elite Gourmet Single-Cup Home-Brewing System. This is a fairly strong tasting brew that has much more flavor than the Coffee People, Donut Shop K-Cups for Keurig Brewers (Pack of 50) [Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging] I generally drink in the morning.

I really enjoy the rich flavor of this coffee but my wife thinks it is "slightly burnt" tasting. It is not as "bold" as Emeril's Big Easy Bold Coffee for Keurig Brewers, 24-Count K-Cups (Pack of 2) when made on the machine's "large" cup setting.

Recommended!

better than average coffee but not bold enough for my taste! I definitely prefer Emeril's Big easy Bold!

4Enjoyable..butDec 05, 2009
By B. Sol
I am a big fan of dark roast and full bodied coffees. I like something strong for my K-cup brewer because if it isn't strong then a larger cup is just too weak.

This cup is nice and full bodied. A good blend of flavors. Not too bitter but it does have a slightly burnt taste in the finish. I'm no connoisseur, but I know what I like.

I also know that this isn't for everyone. If you don't like bitter or burnt, stay away from this k-cup. However, I enjoy it and would buy it again.

I also like Green Mountain Dark Magic, and Timothy's Rainforest Espresso.

3Not bad - for K cupsJun 09, 2009
By Mattelfesso "Matthew"
We've had a K cups coffee brewer for two years and this is the best coffee we've come across so far. In general the brewer produces weak coffee, even if one selects the 'small cup' size. Tully's Italian and French Roasts partially overcome this with a bold roast or perhaps just more coffee per cup. On a scale of 1 - 10 where 1 is a cup of Folger's crystals and 10 is cup of Starbucks coffee brewed on a Clover, this comes in around a 6 or 7. Not fantastic but very drinkable.
