Great BPA-Free Product for Making Tomato SauceJun 03, 2010

If you make your own tomato sauce, you shouldn't use canned tomatoes since they are lined w/BPA. These are already strained (they save you the work) are organic and bpa free. You can't get any better. I also like the Pomi strained tomatoes in the cartons but they aren't organic.
I just wish Amazon would offer these at a better price with free shipping on Amazon prime since they are currently way too expensive to buy from Amazon.com

Dont buy online, great product, horrible price.Jan 16, 2012

I give this product 5 stars, the price is zero stars.
You can buy a case of 8 (not 6) jars at Whole Foods for $27.92 (thats $3.49 per jar) and then take 10 percent off for buying it in a case (which is right around 25 dollars.) Obviously if you don't have access to a Whole foods, then paying these steep prices would have to do. You should only buy tomato products in glass jars, since the acid pulls the chemicals out of the lining on metal cans.
Too bad, I would have liked to buy these online, but looks like I will just buy a case from Whole Foods.

The very best!May 18, 2011
By A J M These are the best strained tomatoes I have come across and very conveniently priced for the quality and taste. Think about how expensive organic tomatoes are and how many go into a 24 oz bottle! Not only are these organic, they taste so good. I've tried many different pasta sauces (quality, organic ones from Whole Foods) and none compare with this pure tomato paste. Just add heavy cream and you have an excellent pasta sauce (it is very, very good with Severino hand-nested egg based papardelle). Maybe storing the paste in a glass jar prevents metals from leaching into it and changing the taste? Thank you to the people at Bionaturae for this great product.
Amazing product, but don't buy it from here!!Mar 11, 2012
By Lizzy After searching for YEARS for just a plain tomato sauce in a jar, I came across these in my local grocery store and was thrilled. The quality is outstanding. And making a fantastic, delicious sauce only takes minutes and a few ingredients. On the jar it gives a very simple recipe for making your own pasta sauce--just add garlic, salt and basil. Of course you can add as many things as you like, but we like simpler tasting pasta sauce. If you can get these in a store near you, I highly recommend it. Do NOT buy from here! I can get them at my grocery store for 2.89 per jar. So it is a complete rip off that they are selling these for over $6 a jar!! I am hoping that by adding another positive review, Amazon will see that people like the product and may eventually offer subscribe and save on it.
Finally - just tomatoesSep 14, 2011
By Dane Mom When I had to restrict my diet (eliminating things like citric acid, citrus, sugar cane, and corn) I did not expect canned tomatoes to be a casualty. Tomatoes are tomatoes, right? After reading many labels, including organic manufacturers like Muir Glen, I was terribly disappointed that my tomato consumption would be limited to the summer season.
Bionaturae's strained tomatoes are just tomatoes. Finally! The taste is excellent and glass bottle makes it easy to use any amount and store the rest for another recipe. Because canned tomato products need to be stored in a separate container I found myself using a lot more than I needed or none at all. With Bionaturae's jar I pour what I need and pop it in the fridge. So simple. I've used it for pizza sauce and marinara with excellent results.
I've tried several of Bionaturae's products and have been pleased with each.
