The best coffee option for TassimoFeb 07, 2010
By Ilya Shunko For me this coffee totally justifies the purchase of Tassimo brewing system. I like what you get when you ask for a "regular" coffee in Europe. This is exactly it -- nice, rich, smooth crema -- perfect coffee to start your morning with. I agree that if you are looking for quantity and enjoy a large house brew from Starbucks, this may not be your best bet. However, give it a try anyways and your morning wake up experience can be much more pleasant...

Best coffee discs I've found yet for TassimoMar 13, 2010
By J. Moran
"aralim"
I've tried several of the coffee options with my new Bosch Tassimo system that I got for Christmas last year. The Mastro Lorenzo is one I ordered from Tassimo when I registered my machine, and it's definitely my favorite of the various discs. I find it to be midway between an espresso and a classic mug of coffee, both in terms of how much you get in the mug and also in terms of the consistency.
The coffee brews up with a great creamy texture that I'd never had before in a coffee. I was actually able to drink it black, which is something I can never do with American coffees (particularly any form of Starbucks), as they're too bitter. This coffee is also bitter, but it has a wonderful chocolate hint to it that I've never tasted in coffee. That chocolate flavor gets stronger as you work your way to the bottom of the cup, making it more enjoyable as I go along.
Compared to Starbucks, this is far more palatable. I also like it better than the Gevalia coffees, although Gevalia doesn't give nearly as strong a "burnt" or "overdone" flavor as Starbucks. I can also say that it definitely has less caffeine than either of those other coffee brands, as I don't get nearly as wired after a cup of this as I do after Starbucks or Gevalia. I can drink a whole cup of this quickly with breakfast and not feel sick or dizzy a couple of hours later, which is always a problem if I drink the other brands too quickly.
What I found really nice was taking a cappuccino creamer disc and using that with this coffee to make a really rich, extra creamy cappuccino.
Do yourself a favor and try this out. You may find it's a great surprise in your coffee cabinet!

Great European Style CoffeeJan 13, 2010
By E. Soden I really enjoy this coffee. It only provides about 6-8 ounces but I find it to be much smoother and better than many of the other options. The other reviewer seemed upset about the small size and if you are into American style coffee that is weaker and comes in a huge mug this is not your best option. If you like the strong smooth European style coffee this should be a great choice.
Sometimes I am in the mood for this and sometimes I choose an American style. I do really enjoy this however. Great addition to Amazon as I could only find it at Tassimo direct before.

Great Taste and Good PricingJul 11, 2010
By Tassimo Queen This product has a great taste that I enjoy drinking. It does not make a full cup of coffee but the taste more than makes up for that. Amazon pricing for the product helps also too enjoy this great coffee.

Best tasting option, but very small amountSep 21, 2010
By S. Halwas This is my favorite Tassimo option for taste. Starbucks and Seattle's Best are a bit too roasted for my taste, and Gevalia is too weak. The taste is very smooth, not at all bitter. When I add cream and sugar, it reminds me of the lattes I used to drink in Switzerland every morning. There really is very nice Crema on top. My only wish is that it would produce a larger cup of coffee. I estimate that I get about 2 - 3 oz. per cup, so I am forced to make a second cup. In taste this is the absolute best coffee I could ask for. In value, I have to give it a reduced rating. Hopefully Amazon will add this item to their Subscribe and Save plan soon.
UPDATE: It has been almost a year and this is still my favorite coffee. Shortly after writing this review, I switched from adding creamer to adding 5 oz of hot whole milk. I just microwave the milk for 1 minute. When added to the coffee, it makes a full cup. It's still not the large mug of coffee I would prefer, but it's better than the tiny amount I was getting, and I am able to just drink one cup. So because I'm now only spending 50 cents per cup/morning, I increased my rating to 5 stars. Not bad for a great tasting latte!
