1Torani changed their original Hazelnut flavor!May 23, 2008
By Cookie
Have used the sugar-free Hazelnut syrup for a couple years now. Just got this 3-pack and discovered the flavor is waaay different; and not in a good way if you liked the original. The new product is quite 'artificial' tasting. Called Torani's and was told that 'yes' the formula had been changed and there had been so many complaints that they will soon be releasing the original flavor again (which has a richer, more mellow taste) but under the name 'Classic Hazelnut'. We will order again when it comes out...

1New and improved! NOT!!!May 21, 2008
By Karen Angelis
I was using this product and loved it. They just sent me the new and improved and I thought I had soap in my coffee cup. Washed it out and found out it was the new flavor. It taste more like butterscotch or carmel. It gives you an after taste. Not impressed, canceled my other orders. Amazon it still the place to shop, there shipping is great etc.

1Do NOT buy. Amazon is messing this up just like the Caramel.May 05, 2010
By Bud
Do NOT buy this product. Although Amazon is showing the Classic Hazelnut flavor, they are shipping the regular Hazelnut flavor. The regular flavor is terrible and tastes like 1/2 peanut butter.

I wish Torani would stop messing with their flavors and/or test them with someone who can taste. This tastes nothing like hazelnut. It tastes like some kind of sweet chemical caramel flavor dominated by an off peanut butter taste.

If you want the REAL hazelnut taste, look for "Classic" Hazelnut. Unfortunately, you cannot trust Amazon to ship you the right version. I have purchased this several times in past years, but now I receive the regular Hazelnut.

This is just like the Caramel versus Classic Caramel debacle I experienced with Amazon last year. If you use the subscribe and save, you will really be screwed because ALL grocery items are non-returnable.

I suggest you buy at a local grocery store to be sure you are getting the CLASSIC Hazelnut flavor. Hopefully, in 6 months and enough customer complaints, Amazon will fix this. They also need to fire their Torani rep who keeps supplying Amazon with the wrong product or is "helping" by switching to new formulations.

1new and improved is terrible!!!Jul 15, 2008
By Sandi from Montana
Loved the original formula, but the new and improved tastes burnt or like burnt caramel - it's awful. Just returned a bottle marked "original" on the bottle but "new and improved" on the neck. Coffee shop across from work has switched to another brand for the sugar free hazelnut due to all the complaints. Bring back the original original - I'm keeping my eyes out for the "classic"

2Plenty of aftertaste, doesn't taste like hazelnut.Dec 24, 2009

I can't wait to finish the bottle of this so I can rid my pantry of it. Of the 4 flavors I've tried - coconut, mango, caramel and hazelnut this one tasted the worst. Coconut is probably the best, in terms of delivering a good flavor with minimal after taste. I have been using this in tea primarily.
